Summary Description 

Manages the development and implementation of internal/external public relations/communications strategies, plans and programs in support of company-wide goals. Communications strategies span organizational entities, departments and disciplines to achieve organization objectives and develop positive relations with all stakeholders.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities

Internal Communications Network

  • Build and maintain an internal communications program with all departments, affiliates and regions domestically and internationally.
  • Work closely with leadership and across departments, including HR, to develop strategic communication programs and methods/channels that builds employee engagement.
  • Build and manage the internal communications calendar.
  • Create a seamless flow of information from top-down and bottom-up that results in team members receiving important information
  • Build and leverage employee feedback channels
  • Assist with development of internal employee website and own the go-forward strategy for the site and content management
  • Propose and apply best practices to extend reach and engagement, and to improve delivery methods and frequency
  • Develop and manage company templates for internal and external presentations and overall brand guidelines
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the VP of Marketing

External Communications Initiatives

  • Develop communication strategies to support annual marketing and sales goals
  • Write copy and press releases to support all departments for new products, services and programs building brand visibility with both trade and consumer audiences
  • Build and maintain network of consumer, influencer and trade media audiences
  • Work with VP of Marketing to communicate mission and vision as it relates to communications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with trade media
  • Create messaging and communication strategy for conventions and trade shows (domestic and international).
  • Manage up to date visual and copy on company websites

Experience and Education:

  • Degree in Communications and/or Journalism
  • Must be confident communicator and presenter
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally
  • minimum of 5 to 7 years related experience.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Superior project management and time management skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
  • Strong knowledge of PPT, Publisher, Photoshop
  • HubSpot or Inbound software knowledge a plus
