INGREDIENTS

    Strawberry Simple Syrup

  • 1 pound California Giant Strawberries, washed, hulled and quartered
  • ⅔ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • Chocolate Cold Foam

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup half & half
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Latte

  • Ice (to your preferences)
  • 4 shots espresso or ½ cup cold brew concentrate
  • 1.5 cups oat milk (or milk of choice)
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry simple syrup
  • Chocolate cold foam

DIRECTIONS

  • Make simple syrup:

In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, add quartered strawberries, granulated sugar and water. Stir together until sugar dissolves and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer on medium-low, for 20 minutes. Using a fine mesh sieve placed over top of a heat proof bowl or large glass measuring up, strain strawberry syrup into the container. Gently press the strawberries into the mesh sieve, being careful not to mash too much. Allow syrup to cool before transferring to a glass jar with lid and store in fridge.
  • Make chocolate cold foam:

Add heavy whipping cream, half & half, cocoa powder, maple syrup and vanilla extract to frother and cold stir until fluffy. You can also use a hand held frother or quick blitz in a small blender.
  • Make latte:

Per 12-16 ounce glass add: ice, 1 tablespoon strawberry simple syrup, 2 shots espresso (½ cup cold brew), ¾ cup milk and top with chocolate cold foam. Repeat with other glass. Feel free to stir in more strawberry syrup to the top of the cold foam upon serving.
