Sweet, savory, and bursting with fresh flavor, this Strawberry Peach Pizza with Prosciutto combines juicy fruit, creamy burrata, and salty prosciutto on a golden, crisp crust. Finished with a drizzle of hot honey and fresh basil, it’s a gourmet treat that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.

INGREDIENTES

  • ½ pound pizza dough (homemade or store bought)
  • 2-3 teaspoons cornmeal, to prevent crust from sticking
  • 3-4 tablespoons basil pesto
  • ½ medium ripe peach, sliced
  • 3-4 California Giant Strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 ball Burrata, torn
  • 2 pieces prosciutto
  • Hot honey, for garnish
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

DIRECCIONES

      • Preheat oven to 475ºF and place a large baking sheet or pizza stone in the oven while it preheats. Make sure oven is fully preheated.
      • If dough is refrigerated, let it rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before getting started.
      • Prepare crust: Sprinkle some flour and about 2 teaspoons cornmeal onto a large wooden cutting board or pizza peel. With floured hands, stretch dough into a round shape, about 9” wide, and gently place on the wooden board (or pizza peel).
      • Assemble pizza: add basil pesto 1 tablespoon at a time covering the dough, leaving about 1” for the crust. Add only the peach slices and sliced strawberries, leaving space for the burrata and prosciutto pieces later.
      • Remove the hot baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle on a little more cornmeal for where the crust will go. Carefully slide the prepared pizza from the wooden board onto the hot baking sheet. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake pizza for 8-10 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
      • Remove pizza from the oven and immediately add torn burrata pieces between the peaches and strawberries. Top with pieces of prosciutto and fresh basil leaves. Drizzle with hot honey before serving.
