Quality: Quality has rebounded after the rain and is presenting a clean pack. Some occurrences of pin rot due to moisture in the fields.

Volume: Production has increased slightly.

Pack Counts: Conventional: 22-26; Organic: 18-22.

 

Watsonville/Salinas

Region Update: Due to the significant amount of rain we have received over the last 10 days, Watsonville and Salinas have officially ended their fresh harvest 2025 season.

Mexico

Quality: Strawberry quality is currently quickly improving, with fruit showing great size, vibrant color, and good flavor. Most growers report strong quality, although a few are still producing smaller sized fruit due to delays in their harvest schedules.

Volume: Production is steady.

Pack Counts: Conventional: 22-24, 24-30.

 

Florida

Region Update: Light production is beginning.

Peru

Region Update: In Peru, operations remain steady with one container of bulk organic and conventional varieties having been packed and shipped off for domestic arrival. Fruit quality continues to be strong with great flavor, bite, color, and sizing. Additional packing at BPH includes conventional pints and six-ounce packs this week, with flavor reported as very sweet despite slightly smaller fruit size.

Mexico

Region Update: In Mexico, production will fall short of this week’s estimate, finishing around 30%-50% due to lower ripening of fruit than anticipated. However, the outlook for next week is strong, with production expected to rebound to about double what we received this week. Supply will be limited this week, but next week will be right back on track.

Volume: Conventional raspberry production is steady.

Region Update: Raspberry production is quickly winding down, with current weekly volume down 10%-20% from last week. Production is expected to end within the next week depending on how the rain hits.

Region Update: Weekly production is beginning to quickly decline as we enter early November. Production is expected to end within the next week depending on how the rain hits.

Watsonville

Region Update: Blackberry production is in their late-season picks, which is helping to maintain quality and volume. Weekly production is beginning to quickly decline as we enter early November. Production is expected to end within the next week depending on how the rain hits. Some minor quality issues have been observed, including red fruit on small-acre blocks.
