STRAWBERRIES

Oxnard

Quality: Conventional quality is good. Recent rains have damaged some fruit, however crews are dropping all subpar fruit.

Volume: Production is light due to recent rains. 

Pack Counts: 18-24, depending on ranch. 

Santa Maria

Quality: Organic and conventional quality is good. Recent rains caused mild damage to fruit. Crews are working hard to drop any subpar berries. Occurrences of decay are anticipated. Organic hooped fruit sustained damage only at edges of hoops.

Volume: Conventional and organic open fall crop are being evaluated. Hooped fields will carry on as usual with steady production for the next few weeks.

Pack Counts: Conventional fall crop: 18-22, depending on ranch; Organic fall crop 20-24, depending on ranch.  

Florida

Quality: Conventional and organic quality is fair due to rain.

Volume: Production is increasing week over week. 

Pack Counts: Conventional: 18-32, depending on ranch; Organic: 28-32

Mexico

Quality: Conventional quality is good. 

Volume: Production is increasing. 

Pack Counts: Conventional: 25-28, depending on ranch;

Quality: Quality and size at origin is excellent.

Volume: Volumes are light. Conventional peak is set for week 25 of 2024. Organic peak will be weeks 3-7 of 2024. Organic volume will start again week 1 of 2024.

Peru

Quality: Quality is great with good size and bloom.

Volume: Volumes are decreasing.

Oxnard

Quality: Organic quality is great with good size and bloom.

Volume: Volumes are light. Harvests will steadily increase starting week 1 of 2024.
