Quality: Fruit quality has improved significantly compared to the prior three to four weeks. 

Volume: Assuming the favorable weather forecast holds, next week’s production is projected to increase.

Pack Counts: Conventional,14-18; Organic, 20-24.

 

Santa Maria

Quality: Conventional and organic strawberry quality remains strong with good shape, strong color, and firm texture. Fruit is seeing good red color development.

Volume: Conventional production has the potential to at least hold, if not increase about 10%-15% as compared to this current week.Organic production remains lighter in the short term.

Pack Counts: Conventional, 18-22; Organic, 22-26..

Region Update: Oxnard organics are effectively at season end.

Mexico

Quality: Quality is good.

Volume: Mexico is transitioning off peak production.

Central Valley

Quality: Crop condition is strong, with good sizing and quality reported.

Florida/Georgia

Quality: Quality is good.

Volumes: Volumes are light.
