Volume: Production volumes are increasing steadily for both conventional and organic fall crop blocks.

Watsonville/Salinas

Quality: Overall fruit quality is strong as the season begins to wane. 

Volume: A gradual decline is anticipated over the next two to three weeks.

BLUEBERRIES

Pacific Northwest

Quality: Quality is good.

Volume: Production is steady.

Peru

Region Update: Harvesting and packing are underway, and the fruit is expected to begin arriving in Weeks 39–40. According to growers, the fruit is coming in earlier and heavier than expected, with strong yields across multiple growing regions.

Our first Peruvian arrival reached Port Hueneme Friday. This bulk container will be delivered to BPH early next week (Monday or Tuesday) and is expected to produce a high proportion of jumbo fruit—approximately 50%.

Quality: Overall, fruit quality is fair with occurrences of overripe and soft fruit due to humid weather and rains.

Volume: Production is steadily increasing.

Watsonville

Quality: Quality is great.

Volume: Production is currently at its peak, and fields are showing a strong set of green fruit.

BLACKBERRIES

Quality: Blackberry quality is improving with some soft, leaky berries due to lingering humidity.

Volume: A significant increase in production is projected for early this month.

Watsonville

Quality: Quality is good, with some defects such as leaky berries.

Volume: Volume is currently at its peak.
