Pickled Berry Moscow Mule
Ingredients
1 ginger beer
2 oz favorite vodka (Tito’s!)
3 oz berry syrup (recipe below)
1 lime wedge
3 pickled berries- 1 each blueberry, raspberry, blackberry (recipe below)
Ice
Copper mug
For berry syrup, 3 cups California Giant Blueberries
3 cups California Giant Raspberries
3 cups California Giant Blackberries
2 cups sugar
Enough water to cover berries in a pot
For picked berries, 1 cup blueberries
1 cup California Giant Raspberries
1 cup California Giant Blackberries
15 allspice berries
1 ½ cups champagne vinegar
6 T sugar
¾ cup water
Directions
Fill the copper mug ¾ way with crushed ice.
Pour in vodka and berry syrup.
Squeeze the lime and add wedge to mug.
Top off with ginger beer, a splash of pickling liquid and the pickled berries. Enjoy!
For the
berry syrup, h
eat all ingredients until just simmering.
Allow to cook for 7-8 minutes.
Remove and cool to room temperature.
Strain and store in bottles until ready to use.

For pickled berries, place each berry in its own container.
Add 5 allspice berries, ½ cup vinegar, ¼ cup water, and 2 T sugar to each.
Mix gently and allow to pickle for at least 12 hours before using.
