INGREDIENTS

  • 12 ounces California Giant Blackberries
  • 18 ounces California Giant Raspberries
  • 16 ounces California Giant Strawberries, tops removed
  • 1 pint California Giant Blueberries
  • 3 cups tiny pretzel twists
  • 4 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 (8 ounce) brick mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small 4” pancake (for the Santa face)

DIRECTIONS

      • Grab a board or large platter, about 18” in length and 12” wide.
      • To begin building the Santa, start with the hat at the top of the board. Place 11 strawberries cut side down as the image shows. Place popcorn and a piece of square cheese at the end of the strawberry hat. Add a pretzel at the tail of the hat.
      • Line the pancake up so it sits at the bottom of the strawberries – this will be the base of Santa’s face. Directly underneath the strawberries, begin to place a row of square pieces of cheese. Add popcorn on top of the cheese to create the white part of Santa’s hat.
      • Add two similar sized blueberries for the eyes, two thin rectangle slices of cheese for the eyebrows, and one raspberry for the nose.
      • Start adding in popcorn around the pancake to create Santa’s beard, as shown in the image.
      • Make Santa’s red suit by using raspberries – they don’t have to be perfectly placed. Use the image as a guide. Add a thin slice of cheese and popcorn at the end of his “arms” and place one blackberry at the bottom of the popcorn to create his mitts.
      • To make the belt, line up one row of blackberries and top with a pretzel twist for the buckle.
      • Add another layer of raspberries beneath the row of blackberries. Then below the raspberries, add a row of popcorn and layer on square pieces of cheese on top.
      • For the legs, add a couple slices of large strawberries, and a raspberry or two. Then place some popcorn pieces and a piece of cheese on top. Make the boots by adding two blackberries directly below the popcorn, then a row of three blackberries to finish the bottom of Santa’s boots.
      • Fill in the board with extra pieces of cheese, berries, popcorn and pretzels.
  • Tips

      • Start at the top and work your way down while making the Santa.
      • Don’t be afraid to shift things as needed.
      • Make sure your board is large enough, ideally 18” long so you have room to build the Santa as you work.
      • Use the image as a guide as you build the Santa.
      • Have fun!
