Almondberry Protein Bars

Ingredients:

  • 3½ cups rolled oats
  • 1½ cups dried milk
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 scoops protein powder
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1 cup chopped roasted almonds
  • 1¼ cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried and chopped California Giant Berries (using a fresh berry dehydrator)

Directions:

  1. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper and preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and spread onto the cookie sheet, pressing flat.  Slice pressed mixture into 10 equal pieces.
  3. Bake 15 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Re-slice, if necessary, and let cool.  Then wrap in airtight bags and store at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
