Dubai Chocolate Dip with Strawberries

This rich and luxurious Dubai Chocolate Dip pairs creamy layers of whipped chocolate and tangy yogurt with a buttery pistachio-kataifi crunch. Served with fresh California Giant strawberries, it’s an irresistible blend of textures and flavors, perfect for entertaining!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 pounds California Giant strawberries, washed and dried
  • 3 ounces dried shredded kataifi (about 3 cups)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup pistachio butter
  • 1 tablespoon tahini (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¾ cup quality dark chocolate chips (about 4 ounces)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • ¼ cup plain greek yogurt, whole milk or 2%, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ⅓ cup crushed pistachios, for garnish (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  • Make the Dubai pistachio mixture

    Roughly chop shredded kataifi then add to a large skillet with butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Remove from heat. Stir in pistachio butter and tahini until fully combined. Set aside.
  • Make the chocolate dip

      • In a medium metal bowl using an electric hand mixer, mix heavy whipping cream on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form; transfer to fridge.
      • Add chocolate chips to a small skillet over low heat, stirring until fully melted. Remove from heat and set aside.
      • In a separate bowl using an electric hand mixer, beat together cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add in powdered sugar, greek yogurt and vanilla, mixing on low speed. Add in cocoa powder and continue mixing on low speed while gradually increasing to medium speed until combined. Add melted chocolate mixing on medium speed until fully incorporated. Remove the whipped cream from the fridge and fold into the chocolate mixture, then mix on medium speed until fully combined.
  • Assemble

    In a medium serving dish, add about 1 cup of the Dubai pistachio mixture to the bottom, then layer on about 1 cup of the chocolate dip. Continue alternating with the Dubai pistachio mixture and chocolate dip. Garnish with crushed pistachios, if desired. Add fresh California Giant Strawberries to the serving tray and dive in.
