Make this sweet pea hummus for a protein packed snack! Use strawberries alongside your typical dipping lineup.

Sweet Pea Hummus + Strawberries

INGREDIENTS

    For the hummus:

  • 2 jalapenos, deseeded and stems removed
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 10 oz frozen peas, thawed
  • 1 cup canned chickpeas, drained
  • ⅛ cup mint leaves
  • 1 cup parsley leaves
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Tools needed:
  • Set of measuring cups
  • Blender
  • Microplane

DIRECTIONS

      • Using tongs, char jalapenos over your gas flame or broil them until charred, toss in blender
      • In a blender, blend all ingredients together until ingredients are smooth, but still has a bit of grit to them
      • Serve with fresh strawberries and crackers
