This refreshing Strawberry Cream Soda combines homemade strawberry syrup with sparkling water for a sweet, fizzy treat. Topped with whipped cream and a touch of flair from edible flowers, it’s a delightfully creamy twist on a classic soda fountain favorite.

INGREDIENTS

    For The Syrup

  • 1 cup California Giant Strawberries, chopped into tiny pieces
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • For The Drink

  • Sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream, save for topping
  • Edible flowers, optional

DIRECTIONS

      • Start by combining the chopped strawberries with 2–3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer the mixture for about 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries break down and the mixture becomes a syrup.
      • Once chilled, fill a tall glass with ice, add 2–3 tablespoons of the strawberry syrup (or more to taste), and top it off with sparkling water. Finish with a generous swirl of whipped cream on top and garnish with a fresh strawberry or edible flowers if you like. Stir gently, sip, and enjoy!
